My name is Cheryl Alexander, and I have been
employed as a clinician for the past 14 years.
I enjoy working with all kinds
of people, and bring to my practice a conscious understanding of the fact that
many of us have been hurt by societal oppressions, including racism, sexism,
classism, homophobia, able-ism, and psychiatric abuse.
Understanding how challenging it
can be to find therapeutic spaces in which these topics can be freely discussed,
without fear of being misunderstood, pathologized or silenced, my tendency is
to listen closely, validate the specific, negatively impactful societal
oppressions you may have experienced and ultimately collaborate with you in the
reclaiming of your full personal and spiritual power.
Thanks for allowing me to
support you on your journey 🙂
